3 cardiologists join Cardiac Team

Cardiologists Safi U. Ahmed, M.D., Robert Mohapatra, M.D., M.P.H, and Vivek V. Sailam, M.D. have joined The Cardiac Team of Associated Cardiovascular Consultants (ACC). Headquartered in Cherry Hill, ACC also serves patients in its offices in Voorhees, Medford, Woodbury, Hammonton and Egg Harbor.
Dr. Ahmed, a resident of Willingboro, will see patients in ACC's Hammonton office beginning in July and will relocate to the Hammonton area. Doctors Mohapatra and Sailam will see patients in ACC's Cherry Hill and Woodbury office beginning in July and August, respectively.
Dr. Ahmed received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, Dominica, West Indies, after earning a bachelor of science degree in biology from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia. He completed his residency at Hahnemann University and Medical College of Pennsylvania hospitals in the Drexel University College of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program.
He began his specialty training in non-invasive nuclear cardiology at the University of Connecticut Hartford Hospital and continued with successive Drexel University College of Medicine fellowships in cardiology and cardiac electrophysiology at Hahnemann University and Abington Memorial hospitals. He is board certified in internal medicine.
Dr. Mohapatra received his medical degree from St. George's University School of Medicine, Grenada, West Indies. He also holds a master's degree in public health from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C. After receiving his bachelor of arts degree in natural sciences from Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore, he did graduate study in biology at Binghamton University in New York.
Dr. Mohapatra completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center, Worcester. He subsequently completed a fellowship in congestive heart failure/cardiac transplant in the Division of Cardiology at Yale-New Haven Hospital in Connecticut and a fellowship in cardiology at Cornell/Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York in the combined New York Hospital/Brooklyn Hospital program. He is board certified in internal medicine. Dr. Mohapatra will be relocating to Cherry Hill from his current home in Brooklyn.
Dr. Sailam, a resident of Philadelphia, received his medical degree from Ross University School of Medicine, Dominica, West Indies. He is also a graduate of Boston College with a bachelor of science degree in biology. He completed his residency and his fellowships in cardiovascular disease in the Drexel University College of Medicine programs at Hahnemann University and Graduate hospitals in Philadelphia and at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, PA. He is board certified in internal medicine.
